History of Edinburgh Airport
In the 1970s, the British Airports Authority began building a runway and a new terminal. A 57-meter control tower was inaugurated in 2005, before the opening of a new extension called “South East Pier” the following year. Over the next few years, Edinburgh Airport is set to expand even further to accommodate growing passenger numbers.
